Securikett recently introduced a new series of security tapes made from recycled materials. The newly developed Security Tapes are available in various widths and provide a clearly visible tamper-evident seal when removed. By using recycled materials, they contribute to a more sustainable circular economy without compromising the high security requirements for product and shipping protection.
The new security tapes from Securikett are a further development of their existing product line, which already includes labels made from recycled materials. These tapes feature a reliable VOID effect, which makes any tampering attempts visible.

A special feature is the adhesive-free area in the centre of the tape. This zone prevents premature activation of the VOID effect due to vibrations during transport or by impacts, for example, when a package is dropped. This ensures that full functionality is retained until the intended opening. At the same time, the opening effect is also activated when multiple layers of adhesive tape are stacked on top of each other, meaning tampering attempts remain clearly identifiable at all times.
Sustainability without compromise
The use of recycled materials in the new security tapes helps to promote the circular economy. At the same time, the high security requirements for product protection and during shipping are met. Werner Horn, Managing Partner of Securikett, emphasises that these tapes represent an ecological alternative for customers who cannot or do not want to switch to paper-based solutions. They make it possible to create packaging that is both secure and more sustainable.
