A change in SIG's top management is intended to drive the company's transformation forward. Ann-Kristin Erkens has been appointed as the new CEO, succeeding Mikko Keto. Erkens, who previously served as interim CEO, will also continue in her role as CFO until a successor is found.
SIG initiated a comprehensive transformation programme in the second half of last year, which is already showing initial results. In the first half of 2026, the company increased its adjusted EBIT margin from 14.8 per cent in the previous year to 15.6 per cent. At the same time, free cash flow improved by more than 100 million euros. These positive developments are part of a strategic realignment focusing on aseptic system solutions.
Continuity and pace of implementation
The Board of Directors of SIG regards continuity and a high pace of implementation as the top priority during the current phase of transformation. Ann-Kristin Erkens, who already led the company as interim CEO from August 2025 to February 2026, is considered the right person to achieve these goals. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ola Rollén, emphasises that Erkens possesses strong leadership qualities and comprehensive operational and financial experience, which are crucial for SIG's next phase of development.

Ann-Kristin Erkens herself highlights the strengths of SIG: „SIG has a strong business model, leading technologies and long-standing customer relationships.“ She emphasises that the company's priorities are clearly defined: focusing resources on areas that create the greatest added value for customers and shareholders, improving operational performance, and maintaining strict cost and capital discipline.
