Paper and packaging group Antalis is further expanding its presence in the European packaging market. With the acquisition of Speidel Verpackungen, the company is continuing its growth trajectory in the field of custom packaging solutions. The Baden-Württemberg-based specialist generated revenue of nearly 17 million euros in the 2025 financial year.
Speidel Verpackungen, founded in 1981 and based in Baden-Württemberg, specialises in tailor-made packaging solutions. The company relies on the use of corrugated board and heavy-duty corrugated board combined with wood and foam materials. With around 60 employees, Speidel generated a turnover of nearly 17 million euros in the 2025 financial year. Its customers include companies from various sectors, including medical technology, mechanical engineering, metal processing and the automotive industry.
Portfolio expansion
The acquisition of Speidel Verpackungen offers Antalis the opportunity to further expand its portfolio of packaging solutions. Hervé Poncin, Chief Executive Officer of Antalis, emphasised that Speidel's expertise in the field of custom-made packaging ideally complements the existing offering. This strategic addition is intended not only to strengthen Antalis's innovative power, but also to offer customers greater added value.
Rainer Speidel, Managing Director of Speidel Verpackungen, also sees great opportunities for the future of his company in the takeover. As part of the Antalis Group, Speidel will benefit from a strong international network, additional resources and expanded investment opportunities. This will open up new perspectives to accelerate growth and offer innovative, sustainable packaging solutions to a broader customer base.
