Aptar Closures is offering Harmonic, a new, linerless sport cap with a flip-top for hot-fill beverages. The cap, in a modern, customisable design, aims to enhance the consumer experience while also increasing product safety.

Aptar Closures' Harmonic closure is designed to function without a conventional sealing ring. This design choice not only helps to reduce material costs but also simplifies the recycling process. The omission of the sealing ring means less plastic consumption and easier recyclability, aligning with the demands for sustainable packaging solutions.

Benefits of hot filling

A key feature of the Harmonic closure is its ability to be used in hot filling processes. This property is particularly significant for the beverage industry, as it allows the closure to be used immediately after the filling process, without the need for an additional cooling step.

The product's safety is also enhanced by the new closure. The Harmonic closure offers an improved seal, which minimises the risk of leaks. At the same time, the design ensures that the closure is easy to open and close, thereby increasing user-friendliness.

Customisable design

Alongside the functional benefits, the new closure also offers a customisable design, enabling brands to personalise their products. The closure's design is said to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional, according to the company.
