Barsch Flowpack celebrated its 40th anniversary in a new hall at its Reiskirchen location, focusing both on the past and the future. At the heart of the event was the question of how the medium-sized machine engineering company can survive in an increasingly digitalized world.
Barsch Flowpack used the anniversary to present the progress in digitalization and the structuring of the company. During interactive factory tours, guests were able to follow the entire development process of a Flowpack machine. At various stations covering project planning, design, manufacturing, warehousing, service, assembly, and products, it was made clear how far digitalization has already advanced in the company. Sales processes are supported digitally, and artificial intelligence is used to analyze sales data and create follow-up tasks.

Inline printing and flowpack technology
A special highlight of the event was the live presentation of digital inline printing in combination with flowpack technology. Together with DJM from the Netherlands, Barsch demonstrated how packaging can be individually customized and designed directly during the process. This symbiosis between printing and the packaging process is unique in the market in this form, according to the company. Visitors were able to witness live what potential lies in the direct integration of these technologies.
