The Federal Association of the Glass Industry (BV Glas) is expanding its leadership structure. Ulrike Aldenhoff and Dorothée Richardt will now support the Chief Executive, Christiane Nelles, in additional areas of responsibility. The association is thus strengthening its strategic and professional positioning in light of growing political and economic demands.
Ulrike Aldenhoff will take on additional management responsibilities as a Prokurist. In this new role, she will be able to represent the Glass Association both internally and externally. Her previous responsibilities in the area of environmental issues will be supplemented by the topics of resilience, security, and defence. This expansion reflects the growing importance of these issues for the glass industry.
Dorothée Richardt will take over the management of the container glass division. Her task will be to further develop political lobbying for the container glass industry and strengthen the positioning of glass packaging in current regulatory and market-related debates. Furthermore, she will remain responsible for the communications of the BV Glas and the Glass Packaging Action Forum.
Strategic importance
Christiane Nelles, Chief Executive of BV Glas, welcomes the expansion of the leadership structure. She emphasises that the issues facing the glass industry are not only increasing in number but also becoming more complex. The new structure is intended to help the association achieve a broader base, increase its visibility, and bring different specialist perspectives closer together. This is necessary to meet the increased demands.
