Capri Sun is expanding its European production network with the construction of a new plant in Stargard, Poland. The company is investing more than €70 million in the site, which aims to increase production capacity for the European market and shorten supply chains. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
With the new plant, Capri Sun aims to meet its growing demand in Europe. The site is set to create around 120 jobs and is designed to allow for future expansion. Due to its location, the plant is expected to be able to supply markets in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Nordic countries, more quickly. According to the company, this will increase supply chain flexibility and support international expansion.
Production network is growing
„This new facility is a major milestone in our growth strategy, enabling us to serve and support the increasing demand in Europe,“ says Roland Weening, Group CEO. „Beyond strengthening our production network, the project will contribute to the region's economic development through new jobs, partnerships and long-term industrial investments.“
Stefan Seiss, Vice President Global Supply Chain, added: „Poland’s strategic location, combined with a strong industrial base, good access to labour, and excellent logistics infrastructure, makes the country an ideal location for our company.“
Eppelheim remains a centre of excellence
The parent plant in Eppelheim, Germany, is to continue to serve as a centre of competence for production, innovation and training within the global manufacturing network. According to the company, Capri Sun sells more than six billion drink pouches annually in over 100 countries. The products would be packaged in, among other things, recyclable drink pouches, which are part of the company's sustainability strategy.
