Gallus, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, has announced a leadership change. As of November 1, 2026, the current Chief Financial Officer Michael Bsirske will assume the role of interim CEO of the Gallus Group. Dario Urbinati, the current CEO, will join the board of directors and assume the position of chairman of the board in January 2027.

The change in leadership comes at a time when Gallus has achieved progress in the field of digital label printing. The introduction of innovative products such as the Gallus One and the Gallus Five has strengthened the company’s portfolio. At the same time, Gallus is expanding into growth regions such as India to expand its market presence. This strategic realignment aims to help label manufacturers create more flexible and profitable production environments.

Continuity and innovation

Michael Bsirske brings extensive experience from the technology and industrial sector. He emphasizes that his priority is to promote the success of customers by working closely with them and addressing their needs. „As the label market continues to evolve, label manufacturers increasingly require more interconnected, flexible, and efficient production environments,“ explains Bsirske.

In his new role on the board of directors, Dario Urbinati will continue to support the strategic direction of Gallus. He highlights the company’s successful transformation and sees the timing as ideal for stepping back from day-to-day operations. „Gallus is today considered one of the key players driving digital transformation in our industry,“ says Urbinati.
