The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has elected Jane Heffner as its new president. She succeeds Takayuki Ito, who has led the association since 2024. Heffner, Global Vice President of Channel Communication at Teradyne Robotics, brings over two decades of experience in automation, robotics, the automotive industry, and aerospace.
Jane Heffner takes over leadership of the IFR at a time when demand for automation solutions is increasing worldwide. „The global robotics industry is at a significant turning point,“ Heffner stated, emphasizing the importance of the work carried out by her predecessor, Takayuki Ito. The IFR represents national robotics associations, educational institutions, and robot manufacturers from over twenty countries, and acts as the voice of the global robotics industry.
Reinforcement by Adrien Brouillard
Alongside Jane Heffner, Adrien Brouillard has been appointed Vice-President of the IFR. Brouillard, who heads up the Robotics division at Stäubli as Executive President, will strengthen the management team with his extensive experience in automation. The Frenchman has been with Stäubli for over 15 years in various senior positions and will further advance the association's goals together with Heffner.

The robotics industry is facing numerous challenges and opportunities. Advances in artificial intelligence and automation technology are opening up new possibilities, but also place demands on the industry's adaptability. Under the leadership of Heffner and Brouillard, the IFR will work to leverage these developments and take the industry to the next level.
