Klingele Paper & Packaging is expanding its presence in the Limburg region. A new logistics and service facility is being built for its subsidiary Klingele Plus, which is scheduled to replace the current site in Villmar-Aumenau in mid-2027.
On a site covering around 25,000 square metres in Limburg-Staffel, the company is constructing approximately 6,000 square metres of industrial space and around 1,200 square metres of office space. The building is currently at the structural stage.
New logistics for packaging solutions
Technical highlights include a 17-metre-high high-bay warehouse and fully automated conveyor technology. According to Klingele, this is intended to optimise material flows and create additional storage capacity. The new building is specifically geared towards the processes of Klingele24, an e-commerce platform through which the company sells standard products and custom packaging solutions.
„With the new site, we are further expanding the performance capabilities of Klingele Plus at the location. New storage and materials handling technology, optimised material flows and additional storage capacities enable us to respond more quickly to our customers“ requirements.“
Andreas Krafft, COO Packaging Division of the Klingele Group
new build to KfW 40 standard
The building is intended to meet the KfW 40 standard. The energy concept is complemented by large-scale photovoltaic systems. The previous location in Villmar-Aumenau has already been sold, but will continue to be used until the new building is completed.
Klingele operates internationally as a supplier of paper and corrugated cardboard packaging solutions. According to its own figures, the company has three paper mills, 13 corrugated cardboard plants and nine processing plants, including participations. In 2024, the group generated a turnover of one billion euros with around 3,100 employees.
