The metal packaging industry is eagerly anticipating Metpack 2029, which will take place in Essen from 12 to 15 June. With over 80 per cent of stand space already booked, this highlights the trade fair's significance as a central platform for the industry. The upcoming edition will also launch with a new hall concept.

A new hall concept is set to provide the Metpack 2029 with additional space for growth. For the first time, Halls 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the exhibition grounds in Essen will be utilized. The modern glass foyer will serve as a representative entrance and exit to the trade fair. These offer optimal conditions for the presentation of large-format machines and complex setup and dismantling work. Christina Kleinpaß, Metpack project manager, emphasises that the new concept creates the prerequisites for further growth and offers the trade fair the necessary space.

Successful formats will be continued

The Tuesday to Friday schedule, introduced in 2026, will be retained due to positive feedback. This compact and efficient format meets the needs of international trade visitors and exhibitors. The „Talk in a Can“ forum format, also introduced in 2026, will continue and be further developed. It offers practical market insights, expert impulses, product innovations, and networking opportunities, strengthening the trade fair's character as a focused working and innovation platform.
