Packaging Valley Germany invites you to Sustainability Day in Stuttgart on 28th July 2026. The event is aimed at companies in the packaging machinery sector, users, research and industry experts, and aims to promote the exchange on sustainability, regulation and new technologies.
How companies can successfully implement sustainability economically is the focus of the Packaging Valley Sustainability Day 2026. Under the motto „Future-proof packaging: Sustainability between regulation and value creation,“ representatives from industry, research, and practice will discuss current challenges for the packaging industry. The focus will be on, among other things, the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), new material concepts, the circular economy, and digitalisation. According to Packaging Valley, the event aims to provide companies with guidance and promote cross-industry exchange.
PPWR and the circular economy in focus
According to Packaging Valley, new regulatory requirements, increasing demands for transparency and circularity, as well as digital technologies, are changing the entire value chain of the packaging industry. The Sustainability Day aims to help companies classify these developments and jointly develop practical solutions. It's not just about individual sustainability measures, but about how regulatory requirements and economic success can be combined.
Workshops on Carbon Footprint and New Materials
In addition to the expert lectures, interactive workshops are being planned for the first time. Topics include the management of Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) in mechanical and plant engineering, the development of PPWR-compliant packaging solutions, and the processing of new materials. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own questions with experts and gain practical insights into current developments.
The Packaging Valley Sustainability Day takes place on July 28, 2026, in Stuttgart. The Packaging Valley Germany network brings together more than 100 companies from the packaging machinery, automation technology, and related sectors, according to its own statements.
