RDM Group is selling its business in Arnsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, to MM Board & Paper. The two companies have signed a corresponding agreement regarding an asset transaction. The Arnsberg plant is a long-standing production site for recycled cartonboard and supplies customers throughout Europe. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

With the sale, the Italian cartonboard manufacturer Reno De Medici (RDM) is continuing its strategic realignment. According to the company, the transaction is intended to help optimise the group's business plan and focus its activities more strongly on product categories and markets that, from RDM's perspective, offer good prospects for sustainable growth, innovation and value creation.

RDM has not disclosed the financial terms of the agreement. According to the company, the conditions and expected impact of the transaction, including on the group's liquidity and business performance, have already been factored into the business plan forecasts. They also align with the assumptions published by RDM on 15 July 2026.

RDM sees MM as a suitable owner

„The transaction represents an important step in the implementation of our strategy. The sale of the Arnsberg business supports our goal of optimising the group's business plan and focusing our efforts on those product categories and markets where we see the best prospects for sustainable growth, innovation and value creation,“ says Michele Bianchi, CEO of RDM Group.

In MM Board & Paper, RDM sees an industrial owner for the further development of the site. „We are convinced that MM Board & Paper is the right industrial player to support the future development of the Arnsberg business and its employees,“ said Bianchi.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the necessary regulatory approvals. According to current planning, closing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
