Sanner appointed Jean-Edouard Rabier as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) on 1 September 2026. The newly created position underlines the company's continuous investment in expanding its global market and sales expertise and strengthens the management team for the next phase of international growth.
In recent years, the healthcare packaging manufacturer has consolidated its position as a fully integrated partner in pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices and diagnostics through the acquisitions of Springboard and Gilero, as well as investments in production capacities in Germany and the USA. The creation of the new position of Chief Business Development Officer is intended to help fully exploit the company's commercial potential and drive strategic market development.
Jean-Edouard Rabier brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions at West and Aptar. Most recently, he led the Sales & Business Development division for Pharma & Biopharma Solutions Injectables at Gerresheimer.
Rabier succeeds Christian Classen, who has decided to take on a new professional challenge.
