Actega is showcasing selected solutions for label and packaging production at Labelexpo Americas 2026. In Chicago, the company is presenting its latest developments aimed at high printing performance, regulatory compliance and sustainability.
Among the highlights at the exhibition is the ACTSmart Infusion Film Ink System, a next-generation water-based solution designed for shrink-sleeve and surface-printing applications. It enables printing speeds of over 210 metres per minute and eliminates the use of catalysts usually required to improve adhesion and flexibility. This innovation simplifies colour management and streamlines press-room operations while delivering consistent and reproducible print results.
Another trade fair highlight: The ACTDigi LEP Primer, which was developed in cooperation with HP water-based primer solution developed for the HP Indigo 6K, 6K+ and 8K digital printing press series, offers good print quality and improved ink adhesion on a wide range of substrates, including coated and uncoated papers as well as metallised surfaces. This solution helps to meet demanding regulatory requirements while simultaneously reducing consumption.
Regulatory requirements and sustainability goals
Actega places great importance on compliance with regulatory requirements and the promotion of sustainability. The SafeShield UV-LED printing inks are specially designed for low-migration applications and combine the requirements of multiple industry regulations. These printing inks are particularly suitable for packaging with indirect food contact as well as applications in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.
Another highlight is Ecoleaf technology, which enables resource-saving on-demand metallisation of labels. This technology significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and sets a new standard for metallic label embellishment. Packaging featuring this technology is already available in stores today, demonstrating the high quality and sustainability of the solution.
