The aim is to open up new markets and expand the range of self-adhesive materials in Europe and America - without a company merger.

The German Herma Group and the US manufacturer Wausau Coated Products (WCP) have announced a strategic partnership. Both companies, both family-owned, say that their product portfolios and market strategies complement each other perfectly. A merger or mutual equity participation is not planned - the independence of the partners will be preserved.

Herma Managing Director Dr Guido Spachtholz particularly emphasises WCP's strengths in self-adhesive special labels, for example for wine and spirits packaging. Conversely, Ben Reif, President and CEO of WCP, emphasises Herma's multi-layer technology, which enables the use of standardised adhesive materials even for demanding applications.

Market development on both sides of the Atlantic

A key objective of the partnership is the mutual development of new markets. In future, WCP will distribute various Herma self-adhesive materials in Mexico, where Herma has not been active to date. The products will be presented for the first time at Label Expo Mexico in April 2025, where WCP's cutting centre will enable short delivery times.

In return, Herma will take over the distribution of WCP speciality materials for the wine and spirits sector in selected European markets, starting with the UK. There, structured premium papers are enjoying growing popularity, especially among whisky and gin producers. Herma UK in Newbury will distribute the materials via its own cutting centre.

Joint growth - with entrepreneurial independence

Both companies emphasise the long-term, partnership-based nature of the collaboration. „We are combining our respective strengths to develop new synergies across continents - while remaining independent,“ says Heiko Henninger, Director Corporate Development & Legal at Herma. According to Spachtholz, the owners of both companies also stand for stability and foresight - an important basis for joint success.

Expansion of international presence through cooperation

The partnership between Herma and Wausau Coated Products creates a new alliance between two specialised manufacturers that aims to offer customers on both sides of the Atlantic an expanded range of high-quality self-adhesive solutions. The focus is on access to new markets, the utilisation of complementary technologies and joint growth without giving up entrepreneurial independence.

Source: Wausau Coated Products

[114
42,48,32
0":"post-100444","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-aus-den-unternehmen-news","8":"tag-etikettieren-kennzeichnen-codieren","9":"tag-getraenke","10":"tag-packmittel-und-packstoffe","11":"cs-entry","12":"cs-video-wrap
["GET
