The \u00d6BB Rail Cargo Group is cooperating with the Dutch company Pallet Control Tower. The aim of the partnership is to organise the international exchange of pallets more efficiently and to establish the EUR pallet system globally.<\/p>\n

The \u00d6BB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is entering into a strategic partnership with the Dutch company Pallet Control Tower (PCT). PCT specialises in the management of Pallets and reusable transport packaging<\/strong> (Returnable Transport Items, RTIs). The cooperation focuses on the modernisation and digitalisation of pallet exchange, particularly with regard to international standards and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n

Virtual pallet exchange via eCredits system<\/strong><\/p>

A central element of the collaboration is the introduction of a digital system for the exchange of EUR pallets and RTIs. The eCredits system developed by PCT makes it possible to process exchange transactions virtually and globally. The aim is to make exchanges more transparent, efficient and independent of physical location.<\/p>\n

In addition to exchange services, PCT's platform also includes offers for buying and selling pallets. These services are available in regions such as the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Users can place or call up offers via the \u201ePCT-Online\u201c platform, with suitable transactions being automatically brokered.<\/p>\n

Response to regulatory requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rail Cargo Group also sees the partnership as a response to regulatory developments. The new EU regulation PPWR<\/strong> emphasises the importance of compliant RTIs for export to the EU. By using PCT's SaaS-based platform, these requirements are to be met efficiently.<\/p>\n

RCG also emphasises the role of modern interface technology: the integration of API technologies enables a smooth connection to existing systems and supports the digitalisation of logistics processes.<\/p>\n

Next steps for RCG customers<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the coming months, RCG intends to inform its business partners about the new digital possibilities and enable access to the platform. User accounts will be set up and the first integrations will take place soon. The aim is to strengthen the global EUR pallet standard in international trade and at the same time promote intermodal transport across national borders.<\/p>\n
