Large political crowd at the SEW-EURODRIVE stand at Hannover Messe 2025: German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opened a series of high-ranking visits that characterised the trade fair appearance of the drive and automation specialist from Bruchsal. Together with Lower Saxony's Minister President Stephan Weil and Canada's Special Envoy for Europe Stephane Dion, the Chancellor learnt about digital technologies for sustainable production processes.<\/p>

Dr J\u00f6rg Hermes, Chief Operating Officer of SEW-EURODRIVE, demonstrated, among other things, how the demagnetisation of gearbox rotors can support resource-saving recycling - an example of the increasing role of digital solutions in the industry.<\/p>

Other members of federal and state politics then visited the stand, including the former State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics, Bernhard Kluttig, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg's Minister of Economics, Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, and Federal Minister Cem \u00d6zdemir, who, in his role as the Green Party's top candidate for the state elections, particularly emphasised the company's commitment to the Bruchsal site.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Investments in Germany as a business location<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

SEW-EURODRIVE is investing around 350 million euros in the Graben-Neudorf production site by 2031. A new training centre is due to open there in autumn 2025. This clear commitment to the location is a positive signal for politicians, it was said on the fringes of the talks.<\/p>

Dr Hermes emphasises: \u201eEven in economically and politically challenging times, we at SEW-EURODRIVE rely on the hands-on optimism that characterises us just as much as our innovative strength.\u201c The company sees the presence of numerous decision-makers as a sign of a constructive partnership with politicians.<\/p>

Globally positioned - regionally rooted<\/b><\/b><\/h2>

With over 22,000 employees worldwide, 17 production plants and 92 Drive Technology Centres, SEW-EURODRIVE has an international presence. In addition to its headquarters in Bruchsal and the Graben-Neudorf plant, the company operates around 30 other locations in Germany. The Toronto-based drive specialist has also been active in this year's trade fair partner country, Canada, for more than 50 years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
