Together with S\u00fcdpack and Werz Wurst-Fleisch-Convenience GmbH, BASF's polyamide Ultramid Ccycled is being used for the first time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The packaging is designed for the Horeca sector (hotel, restaurant, catering) and combines product protection, shelf life and recyclability with an innovative approach to raw materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ultramid Ccycled is based on a mass-balanced drop-in product derived from pyrolysis oil - produced by chemically recycling mixed plastic waste. The packaging solution also fulfils the current German minimum standard for recyclability in the polyethylene film stream.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High barrier properties for longer shelf life<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The multi-layer packaging concept offers optimum properties for safely packaging meat and sausage products and extending their shelf life. At the same time, the low use of materials enables the efficient utilisation of resources. After use, the packaging is both chemically and mechanically recyclable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Frank Werz<\/strong>, Managing Director of Metzgerei Werz, welcomes the partnership: \u201eSustainable and recyclable packaging is an important issue for us.
