In 2025, the company from Melsungen is celebrating its 170th anniversary - with a view to both tradition and the future.<\/p>\n<p>CCL Faubel GmbH, an international provider of labelling solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, is celebrating its 170th anniversary. Founded in Kassel in 1855, the company has developed from a manufacturer of paper products to a global specialist in multilayer labels and digital labelling systems.<\/p>\n<p>Since the complete takeover by the Canadian group CCL Industries Inc. in 2023, CCL Faubel has been part of the world's largest label manufacturer with over 200 locations in more than 40 countries. They are used in particular in the research-based pharmaceutical industry. \u201eWe focussed on this form of labelling almost 25 years ago. Today, we are maintaining our position as a global player with constant innovations,\u201c explains Managing Director Frank J\u00e4ger, who manages the company together with Mathias M\u00e4nnel.<\/p>\n<h3>Digital labels for clinical trials and logistics<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to traditional labels, CCL Faubel also develops smart labels with RFID and e-paper technology. Originally designed for clinical trial products, they are now also used in logistics processes in a wide range of industries - for example for the dynamic display of expiry dates.<\/p>\n<h3>Centre of Excellence for clinical studies<\/h3>\n<p>The innovative strength of the company was recognised by the parent company with a special award: the Melsungen site will act as a \u201eCentre of Excellence\u201c for the \u201eCCL Clinical\u201c division in future. Global activities for clinical studies will be coordinated from here, quality standards will be set and expertise will be transferred to the international sites.
