After a construction period of around one year, Gram\u00df GmbH Kunststoffverarbeitung celebrated the successful expansion of its site in the Sonneberg district of Spechtsbrunn\/Thuringia with its employees and guests on 24 May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The total investment of around 25 million euros includes two new halls for production and warehousing, a new office and social wing as well as the modernisation of the machinery with more energy-efficient systems. The owner-managed family business has received a pro rata investment grant of 5.4 million euros from the Free State of Thuringia to improve the regional economic structure (GRW).<\/p>\n

The expansion is a significant milestone in the history of the company, which specialises in the Development and production of plastic closures and cans<\/strong> has specialised in.<\/p>

The medium-sized company uses modern injection moulding machines to produce a wide range of closure variants, such as flip-top closures, tamper-evident closures, disc top closures, e-liquid closures, screw caps, push-in caps, lids and inserts. For medical products, production also takes place under clean room conditions. Gram\u00df GmbH was founded in 1989 in neighbouring Tettau (district of Kronach). In 2004, the site was relocated to Spechtsbrunn, where the company continues to expand to this day.<\/p>\n

Production is centralised<\/h4>\n

With an annual turnover of 45 million euros in 2024 and a workforce of almost 250 employees, Gram\u00df GmbH has continued to grow despite the difficult economic situation in Germany, according to reports. The company currently has three production sites in Spechtsbrunn, Kleintettau and Langenau. With the inauguration of the extension, the production of plastic closures and cans for the cosmetics, consumer goods, food and pharmaceutical industries will be centralised at the Spechtsbrunn site.<\/p>\n
