This means that steel packaging already fulfils the requirements of the planned EU packaging regulation (PPWR). Recycled packaging can be processed into new steel products without any loss of quality - whether into trains, wind turbines or packaging again. At the same time, the use of steel scrap contributes to reducing emissions and conserving resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a view to the upcoming EU law on the circular economy, the association is calling for an ambitious political framework and the expansion of high-quality, separate collection systems in all member states.
