The family business Mani Bl\u00e4uel has now introduced a 0.5-litre returnable bottle for its olive oil. System service provider Dotch is responsible for providing, collecting and cleaning the bottles. The returnable bottle can be returned to the reverse vending machine and is collected via existing product flows.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

By participating in the Dotch reusable system, Mani aims to reduce CO2<\/sub> compared to disposable packaging.\u00a0<\/sup>The robust standard bottle can be reused up to 50 times and is 20 per cent lighter than conventional oil bottles. Conserving resources is also a top priority when it comes to cleaning: it is carried out in the same way as the established and efficient rinsing process in the beverage sector. The removed labels are disposed of as waste paper and the spouts and lids are recycled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201eThe topic of reusability has been with us for several years - including in the course of the joint development of the reusable system with Dotch. It was important to me personally to offer a reusable solution that meets the needs of customers and retailers. I am therefore all the more pleased that we can now offer our olive oil in reusable bottles across the board and thus further reduce our ecological footprint.\u201c<\/p>\n

Mani Bl\u00e4uel works together with the company Dotch for reusable bottles. The full-service provider of reusable glass packaging closes the gap to a genuine circular economy: from take-back, collection and sorting to cleaning<\/strong>.<\/p>

As usual, Mani will deliver the bottles to retailers, while Dotch will collect them in practical stackable crates of 6 bottles each. The reusable system therefore builds on existing infrastructure<\/strong> and the empties are collected centrally via existing goods flows.<\/p>\n

A 50 cent deposit is required for Mani reusable bottles, which are available from well-stocked organic retailers. Customers can simply return the deposit bottle later. hand them in at the reverse vending machine or at the checkout at over 1,400 return points in organic food shops<\/strong>, including Denns BioMarkt, Alnatura, BioCompany and ebl Naturkost.<\/p>\n

Mani Bl\u00e4uel was involved in the development phase of Dotch's first reusable bottle for edible oils on the German market back in 2022. The organic pioneer used its expertise, together with other companies, to advise the reusable supplier on optimising the reusable system to meet the needs of producers.<\/p>\n
