The industry association European Bioplastics (EUBP) has moved its headquarters from Berlin to Brussels and appointed Lorenza Romanese as its new Secretary General.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the move to Brussels, the organisation representing the interests of the bioplastics industry in Europe intends to focus its strategic orientation on a more intensive cooperation with the EU institutions<\/strong> and emphasise greater involvement in political decision-making processes at European level.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the course of the relocation Lorenza Romanese<\/strong> the function of Secretary General. Romanese has extensive experience in the areas of Sustainability and public affairs<\/strong> and should lead the organisation through its next development phase.<\/span><\/p>

The move builds on the EUBP office in Brussels, which opened in 2023, and reflects the Increasing importance of bioplastics in the context of the European circular economy<\/strong> reflected. EUBP sees bio-based, biodegradable and compostable plastics as key building blocks for a sustainable and competitive future for Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Berlin office will continue to exist<\/strong> and supports ongoing activities such as the annual European Bioplastics Conference, the Seedling Label and research and innovation projects.<\/span><\/p>\n
