This makes Qu\u00e9bec the second province in Canada, after Prince Edward Island, where aluminium capsules can be recycled nationwide via household waste collection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nespresso Canada is sending a clear signal for the circular economy with the introduction of its green bag programme in all Qu\u00e9bec communities concerned. This is the company's response to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) that has been in force since the beginning of 2025 and the modernisation of the province's recycling collection system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A system allows used Nespresso capsules to be collected in the green bag and then recycled with household waste. <strong>The capsules are made of aluminium, which is completely recycled.<\/strong> The coffee grounds contained in the bags are used for biomethanisation in Qu\u00e9bec. The response from consumers and communities reinforces our commitment to sustainable solutions,\u201c said Carlos Oyanguren, President of Nespresso Canada. The aim is to further combine quality and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maryse Vermette, President and CEO of \u00c9co Entreprises Qu\u00e9bec, also sees the cooperation as an important step: \u201eThis take-back and recycling solution is a direct result of extended producer responsibility.
