According to the manufacturer, this is the lightest tray in its category. The product has been specially developed for use in automated packaging lines for proteins and is designed to combine sustainability with high functionality.

Technical development and sustainability requirements

A new type of ribbed structure reinforces the material specifically where stability is required. At the same time, the amount of material used can be reduced, which, according to Klöckner Pentaplast, makes the shell around ten per cent lighter than other MAP shells - without compromising on barrier effect, sealing or mechanical strength. The solution was developed using finite element analysis.

„We are proud to present kp Elite Nova, a true innovation that reflects over 60 years of packaging expertise,“ said Paul Rawlings, Launch Manager at kp Food Packaging.
