The Spanish plastics technology centre Aimplas is presenting new developments in the areas of circular economy, CO\u2082 reduction, bioplastics and testing services at K 2025 in D\u00fcsseldorf.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The focus is on technological solutions for mechanical and chemical recycling<\/strong> and Strategies for recycling-friendly product design.<\/strong> In addition, Aimplas will be showing tools for life cycle analyses, eco-design and the implementation of digital product passports.<\/p>\n

Other topics include innovative materials for CO\u2082 capture and utilisation, hydrogen production and battery production. These include thermoplastic composites, flame-retardant and conductive polymers and plastics with electromagnetic shielding.<\/p>

In the In the packaging sector, the focus is on bio-based, biodegradable and active materials.<\/strong> The developments are based, among other things, on reactive extrusion and advanced compounding processes.<\/p>\n

Another focus is on on standardised tests, such as compostability, recyclability and safety.<\/strong> Aimplas is a test laboratory for T\u00dcV, DIN Certco, BPI, Recyclass, APR, Petcore and car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Renault and Daimler.<\/p>\n

The training programme is supported by the Aimplas Plastics Academy<\/strong> as well as conferences and workshops. The aim is to provide specialists with guidance on regulatory and technological innovations.<\/p>\n

The Spanish plastics technology centre is also in the official supporting programme of the K 2025<\/strong> represented: On 9 October, Adri\u00e1n Morales will talk about chemical and mechanical recycling at \u201eCircular Thursday\u201c. On 10 October, Sonia Albein will take part in \u201eClimate Friday\u201c with a presentation on sustainability strategies. At the same time, V\u00edctor Sevilla will present the European Biosuppack project on bio-based packaging. On 12 October, Anabel Crespo will take part in the \u201eWomen in Plastics\u201c event, and on 14 October Bel\u00e9n Monje will speak about current developments in bioplastics.<\/p>\n
