Areas of employment can be found primarily in the food industry, with packaging manufacturers, in plant construction or with authorities and associations.<\/p>\n<h2>Expertise in product recycling and the circular economy<\/h2>\n<p>The Biotechnology and Environmental Technology degree programme deals with current and future challenges in relation to sustainability, bioeconomy, food, environmental and resource protection, product quality and safety as well as digital transformation. Career prospects are available nationwide in the chemical industry, the food industry and the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors. Particularly in demand are <strong>Expertise in the circular economy, in sustainable biotechnological processes, in product recycling, in the use and treatment of waste streams<\/strong> and in the development of environmental technology solutions for production processes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eIn line with the university's maxim \u201aWe qualify students for the working worlds of tomorrow\u2018, the degree programme enables students to help shape the sustainable transformation of the German food and packaging industry as well as the economy and society.\u201c<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof Dr Corina Jantke<\/strong>, representative of the economic sciences in both programmes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Both degree programmes are characterised by a <strong>Close integration of theory and practice<\/strong> out. This includes modern laboratories, interdisciplinary projects and close cooperation with industry.
