Based on polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), the films are designed for maximum sustainability and efficiency - with a particularly low carbon footprint and recycling rates of up to 92 per cent.

The CarbonLite films are suitable for horizontal and vertical flow-wrapping machines and can be processed into flow packs, doypacks (also with spout) or block bottom bags. According to Südpack, a flow pack made of PurePP from the CarbonLite range requires Up to 60 per cent less material than a conventional tray. At the same time, all variants are MAP-capable, offer very good barrier properties and fulfil the highest standards of hygiene and product protection.

Technical developments are also being incorporated: for example, PE films the material thickness can be reduced again, without compromising on barrier performance. In practice, this means not only conserving resources, but also cost benefits - such as reduced disposal fees.

Wide range of applications

The CarbonLite series covers a wide range of applications PE flow packs for cheese, bread or coffee, PP variants for minced meat, snacks or confectionery, doypacks for grated cheese or dried fruit - and even spouted pouches for fruit purees.
