All three themes are reflected in the exhibits that the VDMA is showing in its Technology Lounge. The focus is on AI-supported cleaning solutions for hygiene-critical processes, sustainable packaging concepts, circular economy and education as well as digital material research. The aim of all technologies and procedures is to make processes safer, more sustainable and more efficient, to conserve resources and thus reduce operating costs.

Needs-based cleaning processes thanks to AI and integrated sensor technology

The Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV is presenting three innovative solutions for needs-based cleaning in hygiene-critical areas such as heat exchangers, tanks and pipework. With the help of AI, intelligent software and newly developed sensor technology makes it possible to visualise when, where and to what extent soiling occurs - and cleaning processes can be adapted accordingly. This saves resources, reduces downtimes and increases product safety.

Using plastic sensibly - promoting knowledge sustainably

ITQ GmbH shows how the circular economy and education can be combined - how recycled plastic can be used to create practical learning materials.
