Arburg is withdrawing from the Additive Manufacturing (AM) business segment at the end of the year. Support for existing customers and users of the freeformer in terms of service and spare parts is assured. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Although the Freeformer industrial manufacturing system and the associated Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF) production process caused a stir throughout the industry following their market launch at K 2013 due to their unique technological features, it would not have been possible to realise the economic goals for this business segment in the long term, nor would the company have been able to achieve its goals in the long term. overall, the global 3D printing market has developed in line with expectations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Customer support ensured worldwide <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Existing AM customers and users of the Freeformer will be fully supported directly by Arburg in the future<\/strong>. This includes a reliable supply of spare parts and comprehensive service for existing freeformers on the market. However, Arburg will no longer participate in trade fairs, events and symposia.<\/p>

Around 40 Arburgadditive employees from sales, development, application technology and assembly will have the opportunity to transfer to Arburg, so that customers can continue to rely on competent contacts and long-standing experts.<\/p>\n

Current service portfolio\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In addition to the freeformer for the production of functional components from original thermoplastic and elastomer plastic granulates, Arburgadditive's service portfolio also includes the filament printers and silicone printers of Arburg's sister company innovatiQ GmbH + Co KG, based in Feldkirchen near Munich.<\/p>\n
