The Groninger Group has acquired Reinraumtechnik Ulm GmbH (RTU). The machine manufacturer from Crailsheim is thus expanding its portfolio to include cleanroom and isolator technology for pharmaceuticals and biotech and is focussing on continuity in integration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Groninger describes the acquisition as \u201eanother milestone\u201c and points to the growing demand for integrated solutions in pharmaceutical production. For over two decades, RTU has specialised in customised cleanroom systems and isolator technology for applications with the highest purity and safety requirements. According to the company, RTU will remain an independent company at the Ulm site.<\/p>\n

Integration with a sense of proportion and existing partnerships<\/h3>\n

Managing Director Jens Groninger emphasises a gradual integration with \u201ecare and a sense of responsibility\u201c in view of the industry's regulatory requirements. At the same time, he emphasises the continuation of long-standing collaborations in the field of containment and cleanroom technology; the new offering is seen as a supplement, not a replacement.<\/p>

Continuity in the management of RTU<\/h3>\n

RTU founder Dietmar Renz had already prepared the generational change in 2021 with the appointment of Steffen Rieger as Managing Director and is now planning his gradual retirement. Following the takeover, Rieger will continue to manage RTU and ensure stability in the operating business.<\/p>\n

Classification for pharma and biotech<\/h3>\n

With the acquisition, Groninger is bundling filling and closing technology with isolator and cleanroom solutions under one roof. For pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications, this potentially results in closely interlinked end-to-end concepts from aseptic process control to containment - an approach that is increasingly in demand in view of strict GMP\/FDA specifications and increasing product protection requirements.<\/p>\n
