At the stands and in specialist forums, the community discussed topics such as the circular economy, regulations, automation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. According to N\u00fcrnbergMesse, the European packaging industry presented itself as innovative and solution-orientated.<\/p>\n<h3>International trade fair with a wide range of topics<\/h3>\n<p>Around 37 per cent of visitors came from abroad, mainly from Europe. Key industries such as food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, retail, automotive, electronics, logistics and packaging were represented. At the trade fair itself, young companies showcased their ideas, from sustainable materials to digital business models, at the \"Young Innovators\" joint stand and the \"Newcomer Pavilion\". The winners included AeroFlexx in the Functionality and Convenience category, Dachser in the Logistics and Material Flow category and the Gropper dairy for recyclability and sustainability.
