The mechanical engineering company Groninger is investing over 30 million euros in the construction of a new state-of-the-art assembly hall with an adjoining office complex at the company's headquarters in Crailsheim. With a total area of around 7,000 square metres, it is the largest single investment in the company's more than 45-year history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new building is due to be completed and put into operation by mid-2027. Construction work has already begun and the steel construction is scheduled to start in January 2026. The reason for the project is the continuing good order situation and the increasing demand for production and office space, as Managing Director Jens Groninger explains.<\/p>\n

Focus on sustainability and energy efficiency<\/h3>\n

The new hall will offer flexible assembly areas that can be adapted to changing production processes. Energy efficiency, sustainability and working comfort will take centre stage. The building will be largely energy self-sufficient - heat and electricity will be generated on site using heat pumps and a photovoltaic system. The technology is designed to maximise climate efficiency while providing ideal room conditions for employees.<\/p>

According to Groninger, the new building should not only create additional capacity, but also set an example for responsible, future-orientated action. \u201eWe don't think in the short term, but in generations,\u201c emphasises Jens Groninger. The project also reflects this claim architecturally: the three-storey office complex creates modern working environments and an efficient link to production.<\/p>\n
