In a joint pilot project, Koehler Paper and machine manufacturer Schubert have shown that the innovative dotlock technology can be combined with sustainable recycled paper.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the new Dotlock closure system from Schubert, trays and outer packaging can be held together by a special perforation (dots)<\/strong> - We are talking about clinching. This allows products to be packed in packaging made of 100 per cent cardboard and without glue: without plastics, difficult-to-recycle composite materials and chemicals.<\/p>\n

In a pilot project, both companies have now been able to demonstrate that the new Dotlock locking system can also be used with the Recycled paper made from 100 per cent secondary fibres<\/strong> of Koehler Paper is possible.<\/p>

The companies presented the environmentally friendly packaging solution at Fachpack 2025 in Nuremberg. Dotlock technology in combination with recycled paper opens up new opportunities for companies to realise sustainable packaging solutions efficiently and economically. This can result in packaging that fulfils the highest functional and ecological requirements<\/strong>. The use of Dotlock packaging saves manufacturers resources and costs, strengthens recycling cycles and scores points with the end customer at the point of sale.<\/p>\n
