According to the company, this will strengthen its capacities for recyclable packaging solutions and underpin its growth strategy.

Adapa has installed two new shrink film extrusion lines from Canadian manufacturer Macro Engineering in Kempten. One line is already in production and the second is scheduled to start up in January 2026. According to the company, this will increase the availability of evoh-based solutions designed for recycling, such as the PE shrink bag Vacushrink(re) mex 55. Two new Uteco printing machines - a flexo and a gravure printing machine - have also been put into operation, with up to nine colours, options for reverse side and surface printing, 100 percent visual inspection as well as varnishes and coatings, including on paper. Adapa is also expanding its finishing operations with new slitter rewinders in Poland and the Netherlands.

Focus on design-for-recycling and securing capacity

According to the Adapa Group, the investments are aimed at creating a robust technological basis for long-term customer partnerships. The measures are intended to increase efficiency and security of supply and open up new opportunities for cooperation. Strategically, the focus is on the development and production of flexible, recyclable solutions that are offered from a single source, from extrusion to printing to converting, according to the statement.

Source: Adapa

In Kempten, the company has installed two new shrink film extrusion lines from the Canadian manufacturer Macro Engineering.
Adapa investiert in neue Extrusions-, Druck- und Schneidanlagen in Europa.
