The Industrial Packaging Liner (IPL) division of Ringmetall SE has acquired the business assets of Indutainer GmbH. The integration expands the portfolio to include foldable IBC solutions for industrial applications and civil defence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the company, the Indutainer IBC combines the advantages of rigid and flexible containers in one system, is aimed at pasty, highly viscous or sedimenting media and is designed to enable almost complete emptying of residues thanks to centralised bottom emptying. According to the company, the collapsibility reduces the empty volume by up to 90 per cent; the empty weight is 7-8 kilograms and it takes one person less than 90 seconds to set up. A foamed double spacer fabric ensures stability, the inner film is set ready to fill and unfolds automatically when filled.<\/p>\n

Fields of application beyond the industry<\/h3>\n

In addition to a wide range of emptying options in industrial operations, the supplier emphasises alternative applications: mobile extinguishing water reservoir for vegetation fires, flood protection based on the concertina principle, multi-purpose container for drinking water and salvage goods as well as ballast tank for scaffolding and stage construction. In addition, a DEKRA-certified vehicle barrier based on the IBC is mentioned, which absorbs impact energy and reduces flying debris in crash tests when filled with water.<\/p>

Synergies in the IPL Group<\/h3>\n

The takeover will be embedded in the existing IPL structure, which includes Nittel Halle, Rhein-Plast, Tesseraux Spezialverpackungen and FIB Beer Systems. In future, customers will benefit from a broader range of inner sleeves, speciality packaging, bag-in-box solutions and innovative IBC systems. At the same time, the group is opening up new target groups among authorities and civil protection organisations. Ringmetall describes itself as a leading international speciality supplier with locations around the world and an annual turnover of around 180 million euros.<\/p>\n
