Saxco, a US provider of packaging solutions for the beverage industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with Revino. The aim of the collaboration is to provide wine producers in the USA with greater access to reusable glass bottles and therefore more sustainable packaging solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the cooperation, Saxco will become an official sales partner for Revino's reusable wine bottles. The company is thus expanding its portfolio to include reusable glass packaging which, according to Revino, is designed for a circular utilisation system. According to the two partners, there are currently more than one million Revino bottles in circulation, which are used by over 100 wineries.<\/p>\n

The introduction of reusable glass bottles addresses the carbon footprint of wine production in particular, as glass packaging is considered one of the most emission-intensive factors. Revino states that its reusable bottles can produce up to 85 per cent fewer emissions compared to conventional disposable bottles and are climate-neutral after three cycles. The bottles are for up to 50 reuses<\/strong> designed.<\/p>

In addition to ecological aspects, the companies point to economic effects. According to Revino, the bottles are produced in the USA and are therefore not affected by import duties. Reuse and standardised return and cleaning processes are also intended to cut costs and reduce waste volumes. At the same time, the solutions respond to regulatory developments such as extended producer responsibility regulations.<\/p>\n

Revino claims to operate the largest reuse network for wine bottles in the USA. Saxco, part of the Novvia Group, has been a distributor of packaging, logistics and decoration solutions for the wine, spirits and beverage industry in North America for over 90 years.<\/p>\n
