Cirrec now supplies the full annual production capacity of around 27,000 tonnes of rPET pellets for the Faerch Group's internal requirements. This secures the company's access to food-grade recycled material and strengthens its position as an integrated recycler and packaging manufacturer.

Integrated recycling as the basis for security of supply

According to Faerch, its aim is to consistently recycle plastic packaging. At the centre of this strategy is the Cirrec Division, which collects used PET trays from consumers and processes them into new packaging material for the food sector. By controlling the entire recycling process, Faerch aims to achieve consistent material quality, stable supply chains and greater independence from volatile raw material markets.

The company emphasises that both transparent and coloured PET trays serve as a stable source of recycled PET. The use of Tray rPET makes it possible to produce packaging whose material has already gone through a life cycle and is reused in order to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact.

Target for 2026: 25 to 30 per cent tray rPET

Faerch has set itself the target of achieving a 25 to 30 per cent share of tray rPET across its entire product portfolio by 2026. According to the company, this target is integrated into the internal certification processes and is to be implemented step by step. The prerequisite for this is close cooperation along the entire value chain.

Tim Rademacker, Divisional CEO Recycling of the Faerch Group and Cirrec, explained that Faerch ensures stable quality and supply by managing the recycling process via Cirrec. This protects customers from market fluctuations and supports long-term planning security for PET food packaging.

Source: Faerch

Faerch steigert rPET-Mengen aus Cirrec und sichert sich 27.000 Tonnen Recyclingmaterial für kreislauffähige Lebensmittelverpackungen bis 2026.
[114
65,61087,60595,54,38,60681
0":"post-110685","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-aus-den-unternehmen-news","8":"tag-abfalltechnik-und-recycling","9":"tag-faerch","10":"tag-kreislaufwirtschaft","11":"tag-kunststoff-und-verbunde","12":"tag-lebensmittel","13":"tag-pet","14":"cs-entry","15":"cs-video-wrap
["GET
