The transaction is linked to a long-term partnership that envisages the joint expansion of the US market, particularly in the meat and cheese packaging segment, according to the statement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the reorganisation of its activities in the United States, S\u00fcdpack has sold its plant in Oak Creek near Chicago to its long-standing industry partner PPC Flex. The aim of the move is to strengthen the company's market presence in North America and to provide customers with high-performance packaging solutions in a more targeted manner in future. According to S\u00fcdpack, securing reliable prospects for the employees at the site also played a central role.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategic partnership for the US market<\/h3>\n<p>The sale of the site is accompanied by a strategic partnership between the two companies. With around 1,600 employees, PPC Flex is one of the leading converters in North America and has broad technological access and a strong market position. S\u00fcdpack will contribute its technological expertise in the field of high-performance films, while PPC Flex will strengthen its market access and local presence in the USA. Together, the aim is to further expand the business with packaging solutions for meat and cheese products in particular.<\/p>\n<h3>Focus on sustainable growth<\/h3>\n<p>By reorganising its US business, S\u00fcdpack says it is laying the foundations for sustainable growth in the region. The partnership with PPC Flex should make it possible to serve customers in the United States even more closely and in line with market requirements in future, without having to maintain its own local production structure.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, S\u00fcdpack Verpackungen GmbH und Co. KG acquired the US company Seville Flexpack Corporation, based in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>PPC Flex was founded in 2016 and has been pursuing a growth strategy through targeted acquisitions ever since.
