Ink specialist Hubergroup Print Solutions already fulfils the requirements of the GIO today.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Printing Inks Ordinance is a regulation for printing inks within the German Consumer Goods Ordinance and the Cosmetics Ordinance for food packaging. It ensures a high level of consumer protection through strict specifications for the substances used in printing inks and varnishes. An update was originally due to come into force at the beginning of 2026, but the Federal Council has postponed the deadline to 31 December 2026.
