With the world's largest steam-generating heat pump and an electrode boiler, the mill now produces speciality papers without fossil fuels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"448\" data-end=\"871\">With an investment of more than 50 million euros, Delfort has created one of the most modern paper mills in Europe at its Tervakoski site in Finland. The centrepiece of the project is the commissioning of the world's largest steam-generating heat pump in combination with an electrode boiler. The company is thus completely replacing fossil fuels and converting the production of all speciality papers to fossil-free energy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"1256\">The new heat pump utilises industrial waste heat and converts it into steam for paper production. This lowers energy consumption, reduces emissions and enables production with zero direct fossil emissions.
