Mets\u00e4 Board, part of Mets\u00e4 Group, will open a new Packaging Design Studio in Milan in summer 2026. <\/strong>This strategic decision is intended to emphasise the company's commitment to innovation and cooperation with European brand owners, processors and packaging developers.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Equipped with modern tools and advanced, AI-supported design and simulation technologies, the studio will make the implementation of workshops, design sprints and co-creation sessions particularly effective - especially for projects that require new solutions due to sustainability goals, performance requirements or regulatory changes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Milan studio complements Mets\u00e4 Board's existing Excellence Centre in \u00c4\u00e4nekoski, Finland, which focuses on material research, packaging testing and holistic packaging development. It also strengthens the Packaging Design Studio in Norwalk, USA, which serves customers in North America. \u201eWith the new studio in Milan, we are creating a place where innovation, design and technical expertise come together,\u201c explains Ilkka Harju, Director Packaging Design Services.
