CCL Industries acquires Sleever International to expand its range of sustainable labelling solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The demand for sustainable packaging solutions is steadily increasing and companies worldwide are challenged to make their products more environmentally friendly. In this context, CCL Industries, a leading provider of speciality labels and packaging solutions, has announced that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire Sleever International. Sleever, a family-run company based near Paris, is a pioneer in shrink sleeve labelling technology and provides high-quality decoration services to consumer goods and healthcare markets worldwide, according to CCL.<\/p>\n

Expansion of the product portfolio<\/h2>\n

With the acquisition of Sleever, CCL Industries expands its existing portfolio with complementary capabilities in shrink film materials, energy-efficient application systems and decoration services. This acquisition will not only strengthen the development of sustainable solutions for multinational and regional customers, but will also open up new growth opportunities, it says.<\/p>

Sleever operates 11 production sites in countries such as Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Poland, China and Brazil and generated sales of around USD 213 million in 2025.<\/p>\n

Strengthening innovative strength<\/h2>\n

Guenther Birkner, President of Food & Beverage, Healthcare & Specialty and Innovia at CCL, emphasises that the combination of the two companies' respective shrink film product lines will accelerate innovation cycles through shared R&D and engineering capabilities. Shrink wrap is one of the fastest growing decoration technologies and plays a critical role in helping brands improve shelf impact, increase consumer engagement and fulfil evolving sustainability commitments.<\/p>\n

The combined shrink film business is expected to generate sales of around 700 million US dollars.<\/p>\n
