The aim is to produce fibre-based paper bottles in several core European markets and to expand sustainable packaging solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perlen Industrieholding AG is pressing ahead with its strategic transformation and positioning itself more strongly in the field of innovative packaging technologies. Together with its subsidiary Perlen Papier AG, the company will become Pulpex's first production partner and obtain exclusive rights to manufacture paper bottles in Switzerland, Austria, Italy and southern Germany. A possible start of production is currently being examined and could take place from 2027.<\/p>\n<h2>Technology for fibre-based bottles is gaining in importance<\/h2>\n<p>Pulpex has developed a patented technology for packaging made from moulded paper fibres. According to the company, this solution is certified as paper-based recyclable and has a food-safe, odourless barrier coating. According to the company, the carbon footprint can be reduced by up to 90 per cent compared to glass.<\/p>\n<h2>Integration into existing cycle structures<\/h2>\n<p>A key aspect of the partnership is the integration of the new packaging solution into existing recycling structures. The paper bottles can be disposed of as waste paper and recycled at the Perlen site. In this way, the company aims to establish a closed-loop recycling economy and combine industrial value creation with resource efficiency.<\/p>\n<h2>Market potential for sustainable bottle solutions<\/h2>\n<p>The development of fibre-based bottle solutions is becoming increasingly important against the backdrop of regulatory requirements and growing sustainability targets in the packaging industry.
