This decision is part of the company's strategic growth plans and aims to increase operational efficiency and create long-term value.<\/p>\n<h2>Modernisation of production infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>Following a comprehensive review of production sites, the board of International Paper has approved the development of this $225 million project. The new facility will be built on an 80-acre site, just a few miles from the existing facility in Richland. Employees from the existing facility in Richland are to transfer to the new site upon completion.<\/p>\n<h2>Economic Impacts on Mississippi<\/h2>\n<p>Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves welcomed the investment as a significant economic win for the state. He emphasised that the project will create new opportunities for Mississippians and further drive the region's economic expansion.
