Sidel is introducing a new interactive tool that allows PET packaging manufacturers to calculate savings potential. The tool offers a variety of customisation options, including changes to the neck, body, and base, as well as the integration of recycled PET. The adjustments can lead to savings in both costs and greenhouse gas emissions.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The optimisation tool available on the Sidel website offers users the opportunity to simulate various scenarios and see the impact on their production costs and emissions. With options such as reducing bottleneck weight by up to 40 percent, body weight by 35 percent, and base weight by 20 percent, companies can achieve significant savings. Vincent Le Guen, Vice President of Packaging, Moulds and Line Solutions at Sidel, stresses the importance of these optimisations in the face of rising PET prices.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Joint savings in costs and emissions<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Producers can achieve significant savings by optimising packaging design and using lightweight technologies. Sidel's experts assist with the transition to more efficient production lines and moulds, which quickly translates into cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint. Sidel's latest technologies, such as EvoBlow laser technology, enable an additional average weight reduction of 10 percent without compromising performance.<\/p>

Advanced Technologies for Additional Savings<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In addition to optimising packaging design, manufacturers can go further by utilising Sidel technologies. The new roll-fed labelling solution enables material reductions of up to 75 percent for labels, while the EvoFilm stretch solution can reduce the use of plastic film by 50 percent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
