However, these substances are facing increasing criticism due to their environmental and health risks. Coveris has responded by developing a range of packaging that can be produced without the use of PFAS. These new packaging solutions are made from mono-materials, which not only improves recyclability but also reduces environmental impact.

Requirements of the pet food industry

The pet food industry has specific packaging requirements that must ensure both product protection and the fulfilment of sustainability criteria. Coveris addresses these requirements with its new packaging solutions, suitable for both snacks and treats as well as dry and wet food. The use of mono-materials improves the recyclability of the packaging, reducing the ecological footprint of the products.

Sustainability and efficiency in focus

Coveris' new packaging solutions aim to strike a balance between product protection, environmental impact, and operational efficiency. The use of mono-materials not only allows for easier separation and recycling of materials, but can also make production processes more efficient.
