At the Metpack in Essen, which opens its doors on 5 May, Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein will be presenting innovative packaging steels designed to both increase efficiency and enable material savings, without compromising the stability of the packaging. The latest developments, Rasselstein CUP and Rasselstein D&I Solid, will be the focus.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The Rasselstein CUP packaging steel, developed for the valve discs of aerosol cans, offers outstanding formability and higher strength. These properties are intended to increase efficiency in the production of cans and closures. Rasselstein D&I Solid, a further development of the DWI material for two-piece food cans, allows for material savings of up to ten percent. These savings could realise significant efficiency gains in production.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Digital Innovation: The Calculator<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In addition to the new packaging steels, a digital tool will also be presented: the Canculator. This tool, which is integrated into the Packaging Steel App from Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein, uses the finite element method (FEM) and a machine learning model to estimate the achievable thickness reductions when using Rasselstein D&I Solid. The Canculator allows users to individually adjust various parameters and calculate the resulting thickness reductions in a matter of seconds. Visitors to Metpack can try out the Canculator at the trade fair stand and thus receive valuable guidance for the further development of their product portfolios.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sustainability through CO2-reduced steel<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Another highlight at the Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein stand is the CO2-reduced Bluemint Steel. With this tinplate, the company makes an active contribution to lowering emissions in its production processes and supports its customers in achieving their sustainability goals. This initiative is part of Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein's comprehensive efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the packaging industry.<\/p>
