More than 2,800 exhibitors from 65 countries will be showcasing their innovations in Düsseldorf until 13 May. As the world's largest trade fair for processing and packaging, the event brings together the industry from all over the globe and demonstrates that neither modern production nor global supply chains function without packaging.

Interpack showcases the entire spectrum of the industry across all halls: from packaging machines and complete production lines to materials, packaging aids and process technology, for example for food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and industrial goods. Many systems run live, and you can experience production on-site.

New rules, stable industry

A central theme of the trade fair is the European Packaging Regulation (PPWR), which is set to come into force definitively from August 2026. The new regulations will affect all packaging within the EU. At Interpack, it's clear to see how companies are responding: they are redeveloping materials, changing packaging concepts, and driving forward the transformation of their production.

Despite the upcoming changes, the industry is approaching the transformation from a strong position. Food and packaging machinery manufacturing has proven to be stable in a challenging economic environment, with production increases and high exports in 2025.

The rising global demand for food and pharmaceuticals contributes to this stability, as does the central role of packaging in international supply chains.
